Tired Woman

She didn’t get much sleep last night. Instead, she spent hours awake, worrying about all the things she shouldn’t be. Restless with her body, her career, her relationship and her restrictions. Some days it feels as though she is wrapped in expectations, bound by the word “woman”. Today, she spent four hours packing orders, even though she is capable of so much more. She has ideas, but no one wants to listen. She has opinions, but no one cares. She has emotions, but she is told to bury them deep inside herself.

This is why she’s tired.
